HK Newborn Photography with Baby Nathaniel, Only 12 Days New

HK Newborn Photographer | Lullaby Images

I’ve posted quite a few highlight images of my newborn photography session with Baby Nate on our facebook page and instagram. I just couldn’t resist! I was looking forward to this one for a while, as this family was the lucky winners of the Lullaby Images’ like & share promotion over the New Year, to celebrate officially re-launching and opening my diary again after taking a year off for my own maternity leave.

I feel truly blessed to have taken a year, for the most part, to be with my baby girl almost 24/7. I never imagined how it would feel to have my heart feel so full, or rather, this full. Don’t get me wrong, I love life and I am grateful for the loved ones with whom I share it. They are my village. My rocks. The people who make life better just by being who they are…. it definitely stepped up to a new unimaginable level of pure epic awesomeness though, when I met Anya and held her in my arms. I mean talk about forgetting what you thought you knew!

Life is so fleeting. One of the reasons I chose newborn photography as my focus, is because documenting those first days is so precious. Being around these little ones really makes everything just stop for a little while. There is nothing more grounding then the warmth of those early days.

This home newborn photography session took place in Discovery Bay. So as usual I rocked up with my suitcase filled with pre-selected wraps, blankets and props, as well as my photography gear. Knowing that Baby Nate’s father and grandfather were both pilots, I had planned a super special aviation themed set up for him. I know, I know. I am normally known for my timeless, simple style, but every now and then it’s great to have a little new fun! Doesn’t he look so cute in his aviators crochet hat? The little booties match his father’s work shoes and the plane toy has belonged to his father since he was a boy.

The rest of the session was pure and simple, for the most part with Baby Nate posed on a beautiful baby blanket that his maternal grandmother had knitted especially for him. Whilst he wasn’t completely keen on being curled up on his back, he definitely loved being bundled up in my wraps and being posed on his front. To complete his collection we also captured some beautiful images of Baby Nate with his mother, father and maternal grandparents.

Here are a few of the highlight images from our session last week, with Baby Nathaniel born on 1st March 2019.
